In the beginning of April Sino-Russian project “SILK WAY RALLY ASSOCIATION” had gratuitously delivered PPEs, such as protective suits, medical protective googles, masks, respirators, extra strong gloves and shoe covers of higher protection level, into the first five Moscow hospitals for local healthcare personnel.
Today, on 13 May 2020, we have completed the second delivery by providing Moscow Region Odintsovo Central District Hospital, Bashlyaeva City Clinical Children Hospital, Russian FMBA National Medical Otorhinolaryngological Research Center and one more medical facility, which wished to remain anonymous, with more than 9,000 pieces of PPEs. All above-mentioned facilities are now engaged in treating patients with COVID-19.
Since the launch of this support program, the total of over 26,000 pieces of PPEs were delivered into city and regional hospital.
SWR Route Safety Director Victor Sokolov:
‘Nowadays, the entire world focuses on the safety and health of all humanity. And we are doing the same thing. As Silk Way Rally Route Safety Director, I am a member of support program “Protect those who save”.
We have always been saying that Silk Way Rally is beyond racing, and these challenging days prove it. We established a reliable logistics system, which allows to carry out timely and qualitative exchange of technologies and experience. This is an administrative resource that has been developed for years. Thanks to our close cooperation with China, we made our contribution to the fight against the pandemic.’
Silk Way Rally Ceremony Master Alexander Belov:
‘Today we, SILK WAY RALLY ASSOCIATION, together with Armoured Vehicles Center Nonprofit Organization are carrying out the second step of “Protect those who save”, thanks to the personal initiative of Association Director General Bulat Yanborisov, as for each and every one of us it is, first of all, a mark of respect to those, who fights for our lives every day. Last two months we have been executing the order of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, by implementing our experience of long-term and fruitful cooperation with China, as well as arranging the transfer of technologies to fight coronavirus.’
Silk Way Rally Association is an organizer of a transnational humanitarian project, conducted commonly by Russia and China and based on the 599-r order of the Government of the Russian Federation, dated April 8, 2001.
